here’s clive thatcher, searching for incoming island glass … he found it, coming in on a container ship!!!

and then there’s todd, who is jammed in to a cave … and ourselves, out on the beach!!!

the difference between artists and an astute businessman: without getting wet, clive brought in a ton of glass … the rest of us, hands full of tiny shards!!!!

my favorite find on the beach is glass w/imprinting of some kind … this necklace was made for a woman named o’sullivan, so including the amber “os” piece was an especially meaningful addition! her husband designed the entire necklace as an anniversary present.

when raj came to my first salon de bijouterie in st. george’s, he pored through the purple glass and designed a piece with enough glass and baubles to bedazzle an entire room. (this photo is almost life size … they’re quite the statement piece!!!)
